A8N-E and Venice cores

I'm considering buying an A8N-E and a 3500+ Venice-core (Rev E) CPU.
If the A8N-E I'm shipped doesn't already have BIOS 1003, will I be unable to POST and flash the BIOS to 1003 with the Venice installed?
Is it a Catch-22 situation?

I just bought this mobo and San diego. I trying to figure out if i need to create a bootable disk since I'm using intel and transfering to AMD.
