i just bought a a7v8x motherboard, connected it up and installed windows2k on it. Everything works well except the onboard LAN which it features does not seem to be detected by windows. Instead it gives me 2 PCI devices with error codes in device manager. I tried installing LAN drivers for these but it didnt work.
Anyone????

use the CD that came with your MB and install the 3com drivers. Then install the Nforce drivers on the CD or dload newer ones from Asus or nvidia.

Go to Device Manager, remove the devices. The go to search for new hardware, when it runs it should detect them again, you can now point it to use the drivers on the CD or ones you DLed. Once you have the nForce controlled one done, use the driver cd to install the 3com drivers. They're a PITA, but it works.
