A7V8X BIOS Beeps

I just got my Asus A7V8X mobo and made a new computer.
I got everything done, when i start the computer the computer tuirns on but i do not get any bios beeps at all, and the montor is just blank nothing shows up.
I have a Athlon XP 2000+ on it installed with a 20gb. 7200RPM Maxtor and a couple optical drives and a PCI GF4MX420. If you can please give me a list of reasons why I do not get my beeps and nothing on my screen
 
What type of Optical drive?
Try removing it no matter what.

If that doesn't work, you need to make sure the motherboard is not bad.

Remove everything and the power up.
If the motherboard fire's up you should get a error POST code beep.

If it posts, place one component in at a time until you find the culprit.
