A7V333-X Questions

I just built a new system for a friend with an A7V333-X, AMD XP1800+ and Infineon 512 PC2700.

I'm not having any problems with the system I was just wondering if it really is as easy as it was to overclock the processor. All I had to do in the Bios was select 1 of 3 default(I guess) settings for processor speed. The middle one was the proper Mhz for the XP 1800+. I selected the 3rd option which was 1913 Mhz(I think, I'm at work now and have no internet access at home cause I just moved). So is it really that simple to overclock this board?? I haven't built a new system in the last 3 years so I was shocked/pleased at how easy it was to overclock

Also for the Infineon ram I set it to Cas 2 2-2-6 even though I believe it is only rated at Cas 2.5 3-3-7.

Everything seems to be running smooth as a babies bottom with my temps(according to Asus Probe) at CPU = 37 degrees celsius and Motherboard = 26 degrees celsius. How well does the Asus Probe software work(should I rely on the temps it is reading or get a different program).

Thanks in advance

Sweet deal. The hardest part about building this computer will be having to give it to the person I'm building it for. Oh well back to my 800 Celeron Dell laptop.

boyRacer, does it maybe have the undocumented VDIMM jumpers by the rear end of the AGP slot, like the A7V333-RAID and standard A7V333 do? Check my post here (second post in the thread) for where to find them on the other A7V333 models and perhaps yours too. I'm curious to hear if they're there! 🙂

How i wish they were... 🙁 i assumed they were there when i bought this board... so no problem. But the only jumpers there are for the onboard sound. It seems that this board is basically a A7V8X with a KT333 Northbridge... so it's using the same PCB but a "value" version. Oh well... still a great board nontheless. 🙂
