A7V333 supports 2800+, according to Ace's Hardware

This answers a question I had: will the A7V333 support the 333MHz-bus CPUs?

A pleasant surprise was the fact that our ASUS A7V333 (KT333) could be easily upgraded with the Athlon XP 2800+. A simple BIOS upgrade to version 1.013 did the trick, a testimony to ASUS' excellent board design and BIOS support.

Let me take this opportunity to remark that Asus' Windows-based BIOS-flash utility may have a glitch that results in a non-POSTing motherboard. This is what your face will look like if this happens --> Better use the EZ-Flash or traditional floppy methods, and it would be a good idea to do a ScanDisk Thorough on the floppy first. An ounce of prevention... yep.
