Does anyone have their FSB past 149 MHz and have the memory ratio at 4:5? Mine stops at 149 MHz, I've seen at AMDMB forums that is 155 MHz. What I'm looking for is 166 MHz FSB with 4:5. Is that possible?

Edit: 1013 BIOS, IIRC rev. 2.0. and single 512 MB PC2700

Any particular reason why you want to? Tests seem to show that asynchronous timings have very little to offer, even in benchmarks (let alone improvements you can percieve). I just run mine at 166/166 and call it good.

Two reasons behind that.

1) to get the small gain in memory performace. I'll take what I can get.....

2) Would also give me an idea what the memory would be able to take down the road.

Hmm... pulls up Calculator... 166 x 5/4 = 207.5MHz for me. I've already pushed two sticks of Crucial PC2100 to PC2700 speeds here, or I'd set it to 4:5 and see what happened. But if you want performance gains, have you already overclocked the bejabbers out of your CPU? That's a good start :D

Thanks, I just want to know if ASUS put a limited FSB in the 4:5 memory timings.

I got the same RAM as you ,how did you get it to 166MHz? ,is that at CAS2.5?
I've got mine upto 152MHz CAS2-2-2-6 ,4way interleave.

Btw haven't seen you in UT lately ,you chickened out?;)

I'm using SPD timings at 166MHz and it simply works. *shrug* Two sticks, too! I was afraid the second stick would destabilize it, but hey.

You go get Mechwarrior4 Mercenaries and we'll see who's chicken, sir. :p I was playing 1-on-1 against osmo last night on his own server, and had a 7-to-1 kill-to-death ratio. And in MW4, there aren't any powerups to restore armor or ammunition :D He better bring his Fafnir next time, 'cause I'm gonna bring a fast 4-cLBX10 Gladiator, and run passive radar + ECM. By the time he knows I'm there... hehe... ;)

edit: in all fairness, osmo is new to the 'mech games and also had been out playing darts and consuming "coolant." I'm sure he will improve quickly :D
