aaahhh!!! Alright?I have an A7V333-R. I was having some issues with the SBLive, but I got around by disabling the USB 2.0. It was then still having some random freeze ups?but they seemed to pass. But after I started running some burn-in programs [Toast CPU Burn-In], it suddenly went crazy. It first just crashed, and had Explorer and Display issues. Even after a cold boot, unplug-replug, etc?it would just randomly reset itself by just clicking on the Start menu or Explorer windows. Then, after another reboot, it gave that damn ?Windows cannot boot because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM? message. Now I?m pretty much screwed. Even if I reinstall, I don?t really have faith in this system anymore.

- Asus A7V333 Raid, BIOS 1011
- Athlon XP 1800+ [retail HSF] ? no overclock
- Macron Power MPT-400 400W Power Supply
- 2x256MB Crucial DDR 2100 [CAS2.5]
- Maxtor 7200rpm 80GB HD
- Pioneer 16x DVD
- Plextor 12/12/24 CD-RW
- ATI Radeon LE [BIOS flashed to 32MB DDR]
- Linksys 10/100 NIC
- SBLive! Platinum
So I?m pretty sure I?m going to have to return something?I?m just trying to figure out what to return. I just bought the mobo, CPU, and PS new in retail boxes?I guess I?m going to get another board. But could the problem be with my CPU or PS? I?ve had the DIMMs lying in my dresser for like 9 months without touching them?I didn?t have the board then?but I had bought them straight from Micron. Could their be anything wrong with them.
I?m just trying to finish this box for my brother before he goes back to school?so I would appreciate any advice I can get. This is really getting frustrating?
