A7V266 or A7V266E with Swiftech MC462

Does anyone know if the Swiftech MC462 can be mounted on a A7V266 motherboard ?

I am actually going to get the A7V266-E motherboard but from what I understand the layout of the A7V266-E will be the same as the A7V266 but with a KT266A chip.

Swiftech has a list of Mobos that are incompatible with the mc462 -- and the A7V266 is not on the list so you should be fine.

the MC462 is compatible with the vast majority of Socket A boards.

For what its worth, the mc462 fit fine on my A7V 'classic'

If it will fit the A7V and the A7V133 I wouldn't see why it wouldn't

I'd also look @ the 8045. Some people here indicated that it fit the A7V266. Do a search... the nice thing is that the 8045 performs as well if not better... @ $25 bucks less.
