I have searched far and wide and cannot figure out why my Redhat 7.2 will not use UDMA 100. It defaults to UDMA 33 with the message about "append "idebus=xx".
I thought Redhat 7.2 had kernel support
Can someone tell me how to enable UDMA 100 with an ASUS a7v133 MB, Athlon TB 1.333 Mhz CPU? I am not using the Promise raid controller.
I do have an 80 wire cable. If I boot into w2k (dual boot), I do have UDMA 100 enabled. In the BIOS, It has PIO4 and UDMA 5 selected for both drives. My drives are IBM 30GB, 7200 rpm.
Thanks folks,
Rooster
