Im trying to set up my A7V133. I have two cdroms on the one ide controller and 1 ibm ata100 on the promise controller. The promise is jumpered as ATA100 by default.
Here's the problem. I am able to fdisk and set up partitions on the IBM drive but cannot install or format in this configuration. However, when the disk is moved to the other controller I can install and format just fine.
After win was installed, I moved the drive to the promise controller and tried to boot. The computer posts searches the floppy and cdrom and then posts the msg "invalid system disk, press return to continue". If I press return the computer will boot just fine from the promise controller.
I have tried everything in the bios, rearranging the boot order, and disabling the cdrom and floppy. Every single time I still get the same message.
Could someone help me resolve this issue.
