I've got an A7V board with a Thunderbird 700 in it...
My question to the people of the forums is which controller
should I use? Currently I am using the UDMA/66 controller
which may be the cause of problems I am having (computer lags
and acts like a 486 every once in a while). I have no ATA100
devices (I don't even have any UDMA/66 devices for that matter)
but theoretically, all my devices should work on the Promise
controller. I have a Maxtor UDMA/33 7200rpm 20GB hard drive and
a Ricoh MP7060A CD-RW drive. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks. :)

If you have no ATA100 devices, I suggest sticking to the ATA66 controller and disabling the Promise ATA100, since it slows down your boot up speed.
