Here it is after switching from epox to Asus strange things happened to my system.
1. my gf 256 ddr posts sometimes as a 16 mb card.
2. when i set my memory settings to 133 mhz windows won't defrag. It starts and after 10 sec or so, windows freezes and i have to reset to get out.
So i thought maybe the memory is bad or can't handle 133/or the mobo so i set the memory on 100 mhz and the bus speed on 107.
After i made these settings i couldn't switch back; the machine
started up at 749 mhz even though i tried to switch back in the bios
to 100 mhz.
Strange thing is that when i turned off jumper free mode, the computer posted at770 mhz even though the settings were are normal.
What is this? is it bad memory? bad mobo? bad cpu?
My system:
asus a7v mobo
cube memory 128 mb pc 13
asus gforce 256 ddr
ibm 34 gxp 20 gb
athlon thunderbird 700 + silver orb + cooling paste
