A7V & System Performance Setting

Hi. My A7V locks up frequently after 5 or 10 minutes when my system preformance setting is set to optimal. When set to
normal and it works fine. Hardware consists of Asus A7V,
Athlon 850mhz,2x 128MB PC133 SDRAM, Maxtor 20GB ATA100 HD, MSI StarForce 816 GeForce2 MX. I just put this system together so there not much software on it. Windows ME, IE v5.5 with SP1, VIA latest drivers from ViaHardware website. I also have the same problem with my ATI All-in-Wonder 128 Rage. With setting to normal, the AGP slot is running at 2x. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated. Thank in advance.

My friend has a T-Bird 750, and says that there's a prob with Windows ME and the T-Birds. If you want to believe this, go ahead. If not, check all the settings on your PCI configuration, e.g. graphics aperature size, etc. If it's only from using Optimal settings, then it's prolly your Video Card. I got a Guillimot Prohet II MX on an A7V and it runs fine in Optimal. Also, I can't really tell the difference in Quake III anyways. Good Luck.
