I got my case today, so I started building my first computer. I expected some problems, but I thought I'd be able to find solutions a little easier.. Tried checking the archives, maybe I missed something.. Welp, when I go to power on my system, nothing happens. The green light on the A7V is on, the cpu fan turned on for a sec when I plugged it in. All I have connected is the harddrive, ram, floppy drive, and video card.
I did notice that the video card seems a lil loose, but it wouldn't go in anymore.. ram was a pain, but I think it's in all the way now.
I'm thinking I may not have the case connector things in right. I couldn't really figure out which way they were supposed to go, (Me being stupid, and all. 🙂) and the manual didn't tell me.
** Okay, now that I solved that, I need to figure out why my floppy disk drive is not working. The mobo says it's there, it's in Windows, but no disks will work. Just says "Insert a disk into the floppy drive", or to the effect of. I tried a Compaq floppy and it does the same thing. When it does get to try to read it, the floppy led comes on, and stays on. Any ideas? Probably makes no difference, being as generic as it seems, but it's a Digital Research DRFDD144.
Oh, and do floppy drives usually come with cables? This one didn't. I only have the cable that came with the A7V to try it on.
