A7V owners...CHECK THIS OUT!!!!!

I have used a A7V BIOS on my A7V133, the only difference between the 2 is RAID support. I posted this news on TweakMax earlier today. And yes the 1002A-1 BIOS uses much more extreme memory timings... before I could run 152 2-2-2 Now I can only run 150 2-3-2, if the memory can take it, then use it! The memory performance boost is nice.

Are there any risk to flashing it?

A note, what if I flash it and the pc refuses to even boot?

I have a Rev 1.02 board

Just be sure to set your FSB etc.. to default! Because with this BIOS the memory settings are set higher, so your RAM might not run as fast! Like before I could do 152 2-2-2 but with the better memory settings I couldnt... so I had to clear my CMOS to set my FSB back to default. Also whenever flashing the BIOS turn off Byte Merge in the BIOS before hand.

I think I'll hold from setting it. This piece of Ram don't like fast FSB. I'm running on 100Fsb now.

Dulanic, do you have ICQ? PM me. We both like the A7V's
😛
