A7V mobo runs unstable, need help

hi there,
I've just built my first computer. I did install all the drivers and was able to install software (MS Office 2000, burning rom, etc., ) and also some games. The problem is that the system does not run stable (system freezes, reboots, hangs, ...). Anyone familiar with this problem. What should I do?

I don't even know whether it has anything to do with the mobo.

Any particular place you are experiencing these problems?

A good place to start would be to update your drivers, especially the SB Live. Early drivers for the card are known to be bad. You may also try tuning down your RAM.

If you want help maybe you can list OS, PCI device, and that sort of thing. My system has been on for weeks rock stable. This is the first thing I'd do. Take out all PCI cards except video and put the SBLIVE in slot 4 and go in BIOS and assign IRQ 5 to slot 4. Then test your system to see if it's stable.
