That.. and what happens if I disable my ATA100 bios? It kills my bootime to like 3 minutes 🙁
 
I think 1002 and 1004c are fine. Don't like 1003 because of the issue with the secondary ATA66 IDE drives not showing up in Win2K.

About disabling the ATA100 Bios, it makes sense to do this if you do not boot off the ATA100 controller. However, I like to use it since from what I have heard, it performs slightly better than the onbaord ATA66 for ATA66 drives. I also rarely need to reboot, which makes it rather painless.

I like the 1003 the most so far.. but I've yet to try 1005.

Thanks for the heads up on the onboard controller.. I like to have the best possible performance out of my box!

 
The drivers of the Promise in version 1.6 Build 25 solve the problem with the delay

any way with version 1003 your cpu is cooler then with 1004x

so I you aren't OC so the best is

BIOS 1004D + Promise Build 25
