I think 1002 and 1004c are fine. Don't like 1003 because of the issue with the secondary ATA66 IDE drives not showing up in Win2K.
About disabling the ATA100 Bios, it makes sense to do this if you do not boot off the ATA100 controller. However, I like to use it since from what I have heard, it performs slightly better than the onbaord ATA66 for ATA66 drives. I also rarely need to reboot, which makes it rather painless.
