A7V BIOS 1005C prob!!

I just flashed from 1003 because I wanted to get rid of the U100 detection screen. I flashed successfully, but when I disable the U100 in the BIOS, I get a weird BSOD b4 windows ME starts that says general protection fault and it tells me to restart my computer. Is there something else that I have to do? Or should I try 1005B?

Try enabling the anti virus thing on the last menu, that will usually fix the problem.

EDIT:
Also there are some general problems with A7V and Windows ME, try looking into win2k or win98se if you continue to have problems.

i have been running WinME with my A7V for 3 months now with no trouble at all.why do you want to disable the ultra 100? if it runs fine with it enabled leave it on.

hclarkjr,
Can you please list your PCI device configuration? I want to see what is working for you using Windows ME.

Thanks.

AGP slot- ASUS V6800 DDR GEFORCE
PCI slot 1- empty
PCI slot 2- empty
PCI slot 3- SOUNDBLASTER PCI128 soundcard
PCI slot 4- 3com 905 TX NIC for cable modem
PCI slot 5- ESS 56K modem (for banking purposes only)
i should also mention i am running the hacked bios from juggernauts website that has the 1005 ultra 100 bios in it- 1003e3 i think he calls it. this bios is great for keeping the temps down for the CPU. all bios versions after 1003 have the halt commands removed by ASUS for some strange reason only they know about.
