K.. I was helping a friend of mine (who was fooled to buy winme) to oc his cpu. The oc was fine and all stress test I could give the cpu was completed with no errors (rc5, seti, playing AvP while rendering demo from 3Dstudio r3, etc) I installed the 1004c bios for this mobo, oc settings: 8,5*105 with 1,75v. Cpu=Duron 600, cpu temp max=44c. Other hardware is IBM ata100 20gb, Sblive 1024 and ATI 128 32mb.
After 4 days he sudenly gets a error when he wants to go into the controll panel he gets a error in kernell32.dll. I tryed to adjust voltage and speed but nothing helped. Even Running the system in default did not help!
The strange ting is when OK'ing the error message all application still works. And without OK'ing the error message he can still execute tools from controll panel.
Anyone have a tip on how to solv this?
I will try to install VIA drivers, but from my own exp.. YOU SHOULD NOT INSTALL THEM, just the viainf and viaagp.. everything else.. might screw you....
