A7V, A7V133 ATA100 problem

I have recently installed 2 different system boards in 2
different systems. The first was a A7V running WIN98, The
second was a A7V133 running WIN ME. Both exibited the same
problem of locking up intermittantly durring disk access,
requiring a reboot to clear. I both cases the boot drive was the only disk on the ATA100 adaptor. When I move the
disk cable to the the standard IDE adaptor to boot/run from
the machines work fine. I have loaded the latest drivers and
bios from the web site as of today 2/23/01 without changing the problem. Since different drives, cables, and boards are
involved I'm fairly certain the problem is in the board(s).
Anyone have any ideas?
