Greetings:

I just finished setting up an ASUS A7V133 with Win2000 on a UW SCSI disk and Adaptec 2940UW card I had left over from a server. Everything is fine, but when I went to set up a raid0 of two ATA100 disks to use for video editing, it seems the Promise Raid wants to take over as the master boot disk. The Raid controller identifies the two disks and then the Adaptec identifies my SCSI drive as drive 2 and will not boot. Pull the two ATA disks off, and it boots fine. I have tried the ATA disks as slaves, masters, and cable select, but the same thing happens. I haven't explored this too much, but thought someone out here would now what I need to do to have the raid disks be slave. Please don't tell me the raid HAS to be the master.

In the boot order I assume you moved SCSI/Onboard ATA100 up to right after floppy or CDRom? Then further down the is a SCSI/ATA100 boot option, make sure you set it to SCSI/ATA100 instead of ATA100/SCSI.

Thanks Dulanic--I totaly missed how you could put SCSI in front of the ATA. Everything purrs like a kitten now!
