A7V + 100MB ZIP Weirdness.

When I transfer a file to my ZIP, or use it at all, it puts my computer into slow motion, even after the transfer is done. If I reboot, the slow motion goes away... It also messes with HD settings..

It might help to list the rest of your system specs, and also what kind of Zip drive (ATAPI internal? SCSI external???) that you're using...

I once had major problems trying to get my ATAPI Zip working on the same channel as my old HP 8110i CD-RW drive - some weird hardware conflict. Moving them to different IDE channels (i.e., one on the primary, one on the secondary) fixed my problems. Maybe try isolating your Zip drive on its own channel? (Assuming you're using an IDE one... like I said, give us some specs)...

I had an A7V with a generic Zip100. I couldn't get any files to copy to it. The drive had a click, so I thought I was the click of death...Tossed it and got another one that did the same thing. I moved the new Zip to another computer and it worked just fine. I think I threw away a perfectly good Zip thanks to the A7V. My experience is that they don't get along. My Zip is sitting in my KT7 Raid now. There are still some issues, but not as bad as not working.
I have no solution...sorry.
