This is just a FYI regarding my troubles with my A7V.

A funny thing happened. Many times, my A7V wouldn't shutdown / reboot correctly. It would hang and lock up. I though it was due to overclocking but I just rencently went to 1006 and it got worse and even started happening at default clock.

I had been using jumperless setup so I could play with Vcore. I disabled it and set Vcore to 1.85 via the jumpers. Whoa. Everything works great now, and it boots faster.

You have an SBLive? Then you need to do the following, otherwise Win98 won't restart/shutdown properly:

Enable LPT Interrupt Sharing in the SB Emulation Device in the device manager.

Disable the DOS SB Emulation in the device manager (optional).

Set IRQ 5 Reserved to Yes in PCI/PNP Resource Exclusion list in the BIOS.

merlocka - I had some stability problems with my A7V when overclocked also until I changed to jumper mode. Although it isn't as quick and easy as changing settings in the BIOS, it's definately worth the extra stability! ;)

SBlive emulation was disabled in the device manager.

Do I still need to Set IRQ 5 Reserved to Yes in PCI/PNP Resource Exclusion list in the BIOS. ?
