A7N8X Users HELP !!! Need to Network 2 Computers

Hey Guys,
I was wondering if anyone knew how to network together two machines with the Asus A7N8X Deluxe board.

I tried putting the live line into one ethernet port and then a second line from the second ethernet port to the other machine I want to share with no luck.
The main machine is live on the internet with the live line but it does not see the second computer that I am trying to network. It is just a dead connection.

I basically want that second machine to atleast be able to network folders together,and if possible even share internet. But it is crucial that I get it to connect
Anyone have any experience with onboard networking???? This board has 2 ethernet inputs by the way.

I was wondering this too... (I hate networking, my router just crapped out and I have been pulling out hair trying to fix it)
 
probably wrong section lol?
i would answer, but im no networking guru so i wouldnt know wtf im talkin about hehe 😉

all i know is if you wnna go comp to comp you NEED a cross over cable...check the ends of the cable and see how the calbes are going to the ends if you can
