A7N8X Sata issues...

My A7n8x will not boot from a RAID 0 configuration. Hopefully someone out there can offer some info.

The scenario:
I recently installed 2 WD raptors and setup a Raid 0 configuration. I was able to image my current drive to the Raptor drive(s). All the data/partiontions/info seem to be intact and even visible to other machines on my network, yet, the machine will not boot when I unplug the IDE drive. I have tried every boot sequence available in the CMOS to no avail. I'd like to add that there is no specific SATA device listed in the CMOS boot sequence, only SCSI. I assume this is how the mobo recognizes SATA in the hierarchy.
The bios, device drivers and SATA utility are the lastest from Nvidia.
If anyone out there has an idea or some input, it would be greatly appreciated.

Stick your Windows XP cd in your cdrom and boot from cdrom 1st. When it comes up and says "Press any key to boot from cd rom", just let it go and dont press anything, then it will boot. This happens to me too on my raid 1 array.

Racer & sh4nsen,

Thank you for the tips. I tried to boot from the cd-rom w/ XP. It attempted to install itself but failed when it could not find a hard disk. I did get a prompt for installing 3rd party drivers, but only from the A drive. After the failed installation, I got a DOS prompt. I attempted to look at the directories in each partition. It seems that Win XP setup recognized 4 drives (partitions) but reported them as either disk "unaccessible" or "no disk in drive" At this point, I am completely baffled and just moments away from a low level format of everything! help...
