A7N8X SATA controller hanging at boot

I'm using the A7N8X Deluxe 2.0, and have a WD740 SATA HDD.

The problem I have is that when booting, the system hangs for about thirty seconds while it tries to detect a drive attached to the secondary onboard SATA controller, when I only have a single drive attached to the system. In other words, I can't figure out how to tell the software that the secondary controller should be ignored.

Also, I'm not using the RAID functionality at all, just running a single HDD in normal access mode. Any way to tell it to stop trying to detect RAID arrays?
