had a computer, wouldn't boot from cdrom (to install windows) thought maybe it was the disc, tried another one, still didn't work. thought maybe it was the drive, tried another one, still didn't work. thought maybe bios, so i cleared the bios using the standard procedure. rather than posting, the board started emitting a series of long beeps. so i unplugged everything but the processor, ram, and video. when i turn on the power, the cpu fan spins up by no other activity happens. the monitor doesn't come on, nor does the board beep. if i plug in a drive, be it a cd rom or hdd, the board will do the series of long beeps. the manual seems to make no mention of what the beep codes are. any help is appreciated 🙂
