Okay...Frist I thought it was the ram's fault

I RMA'd it

then i thought it was the mobo - I RMAd it (and suprisignly it took less than two weeks to send it back...a new one and i could tell by analyzing certain marks i added to my old one just to see)

Now I load up windows and i get the SAME error....

happens randomly and its pissing me off

look @ sig for specs

What else could it be? the cpu?

I'm using asus drivers as of Early January (heard 1.16 came out but haven't tried it yet), using the 1002.001 beta bios (same error came with 1001g bios)

Please help me...

Maybe the ram just hates the mobo? True my first and newest are both kingmax - but the second seems to be a second batch b/c the first was on green pcb and the ones i have are on red

thanks

nothing overclocked btw.

Hopefully you are running the RAM in synchronous mode with the CPU (133MHz/DDR266)? Have you tried running Memtest86?

The new nVidia UDP 2.03 fully supports your A7N8X-Deluxe, by the way.

as for syncrnous - I'm doing that right now and later I'll encode to see if the errors pop up

but i'd prefer running my ram at ddr333 (as i'd assume speed would make a difference in encoding) than ddr266

but I noticed if i leave it on "By SPD" it goes to 166mhz ram (333mhz effective)

but if it set it on manual, 100% is 133mhz.....

and 166mhz is 125%

Did i get jacked and get overclocked ram that doesn't even freaking work at its right speed?

Should I buy different ram?

Because right now I set the speed to 133, but turned up the CAS timings to aggressive to try to compensate for the loss of speed...

and yes, memtest86 runs just fine for hours upon hours (even if its at 166mhz)

nForce2 seems to perform best when run in synchronous mode. Running it asynchronously does more harm than good, from the benchmarks I've seen.
