I remember a while back some mobo's and Fan's, you were better off hooking the Fan up to the 4 wire Power Supply connection vs. the 3 wire on the fan header so that one would not burn it up. Is that an Issue anymore? I'm looking at the Vantec Tornado's, which pull 9.1W / .76A. I couldn't find the specs on the Fan Header on Asus' site. The Vantec Stealh pulls 1.20W, .10 Amp. Bah, don't want that one though ;)

Also, anyone using the SLK-800 HS on this board?

The board's manual has this to say:

Three cooling fan headers support cooling fans of 350mA (4.2W) or less.

I have to laugh at the warning they put in there about the fan headers NOT being jumpers and NOT to put caps on them :p Hehe...

looks like its still a good idea to not put anything high speed on a mobo header

i also found that note to be comedic mechBgon ;)
