Hey guys... I've had the A7N8X-E for quite a while now... And until reciently, I havn't had a single problem with it....
My current setup is such that I have two WD Raptor 36GB drives setup on SATA RAID. But reciently, I've started hearing clicking sound on my computer, so I backed up my hard drive, and decided to reinstall windows. And when I did, the windows setup couldn't detect the harddrive at times. And during the setup, I would constantly hear this clicking sound from one of the raptors.
I have already asked for replacement HD's from western digital, and I recieved them. When I installed the new HD, I realized I still have the same problems. I know its not the HD, or the PSU because I tried all kinds of combination, and found out that most likely its the Mother board. But even that I'm not 100% sure, because I tried switching the drives and I realized even the one that was working fine would at times click.
Does anybody have a suggestion on how to go about fixing this problem? Or also have a problem like this? Although currently I'm pretty sure that its the mobo, I can't be 100% sure. So any information would help at this point. Thanks!
