I've been having some issues trying to flash the bios on my A7N8X-E Deluxe with my XP-M 2400+ . Tried to update to the newest release from ASUS (1013 I believe) as well as a 'Trats Modified' version that is supposed to properly identify mobile cpus and unlock some additional features. When I try the ASUS release, it informs me that I cannot flash the selected update. When I try the Trats, it'll hang right after I select 'Y' to confirm the flash. I naturally get nervous having to yank the power after I've just authorized flashing the bios (many a horror stories I'm sure we've all heard about BIOS flash updates going bad), but that's what I've had to do after several (5+) attempts now. Both these methods were done using a bootable USB flash drive, as my system doesn't currently have a floppy (which I've learned that I'm going to have to remedy anyway since XP won't install to an SATA drive without the drivers off a floppy [sigh]). Anywho, any ideas about this suspicious behavior?
