My BIOS detects my ram running in single cannel mode (showed single channel by the memory speed ever since i flased to newest BIOS 1005) I dont see anything in the BIOS about enabling dual channel mode. I am new to Dual channel so, i learning. Using 2x 256MB of Crucial PC2700 with Athlon XP 2700+ Thanks in advance for any help.

You probably have both of your modules on one channel. Use slots 1 and 3 :)

slots 1 and 2 are close to each other (which is where i thought the ram needed to be for Dual channel, whiule the 3rd slot is further out from 1 and 2. So dual channel would be slots 1 and 3?

You might want to try re-seating the modules and do a close visual check to ensure that they're seated all the way across. Sometimes they get cocked at an angle on you. Also, if your memory voltage is set to 2.5 volts, try 2.6 or 2.7. The specs for Micron DDR SDRAM IC's is 2.6 volts last I looked at a technical document from them, and going 0.1V over may help you too.
