im getting that wierd sound distortion in 1942 using the realtek chip. will installing the drivers from realtek's site help? they are more up to date than the nvidia ones, but are they safe just to install over?

Read my post in this forum (too lazy to link it) - it's clear that the realtek codec has issues...
