A7N8X Deluxe SATA Problem

My A7N8X Deluxe detects my lone WD Raptor as a secondary SATA device, even though its in SATA slot 1. When WinXp Pro tries to setup, it says theres no HD, probalby because it on secondary. What do I do?

Yup, I checked that jumper, its set to enabled as default.

It detected the drive, as the correct size, only at the raid setup menu.

I'm trying to get it to work like an ordinary ide hd.

I'm trying to use the Raptor as a boot disk (taking advantage of the 10,000rpm's) and am trying to install Windows. There also wasn't any drivers with the drive.

Put the SATA controller's drivers on a floppy. When Windows Setup shows its first blue screen and says "Press F6 now if you have third-party drivers blah blah," that's your cue to press F6. Later in the installation it will ask for the drivers on floppy, so that Windows Setup can see the drive that's connected to the SATA controller and install Windows on it.

Are those drivers on the driver cd that came with the motherboard?

Edit: Those drivers didn't come on a floppy, but I believe there on the motherboard cd. Which ones do I put on the floppy to make it work?
Edit 2: The cd has a directory under the SATA file for "diskette 1" and "diskette 2". I'm thinking thats it.

hey, did it work...My friend just got an Abit NF7-s and we are trying to setup his Raptor as the boot drive, but I can't get anything to recognize it. What button do I press during the XP setup to install the drivers, I tried F6 and it said it didn't find anything.
