Hi everyone, before I tell you the problem, here are my system specs:

Barton 3200+
A7N8X deluxe
Radeon 9800pro
80 GB Maxtor
1 GB Corsair
Pioneer 107D Burner
Pioneer 120S DVDROM
Aspire 500W PSU

I am really careful about the temperature of my system so the temperature is around 38C idle/ 45C load.

Now here is the problem:
As of 5 days ago, my computer started to freeze everytime that I would play counterstrike. It would reset when I am about 2 minutes into the game and also would automatically close the game for no particular reason. It would also lock-up everytime that I put in disc. I thought that it was a driver problem, so I installed all the newest drivers from ATI/radeon and Nvidia/Nforce2. Heck I even installed the newest drivers from 3Com and silicon image(IDE controller). And yes I did use driver cleaner (from safe mode). Everything would freeze on me (nero, alcohol 120, explorer and ...ect)

OK so I did all that and the problem is still there so I decided to format my whole system and do a new clean install with windows XP. RIGHT AFTER THE INSTALLATION ASK ME IF I WANTED TO FORMAT IN NTFS OR LEAVE FILE SYSTEM INTACT, A BLUE SCREEN CAME UP AND SAYS SOMETHING LIKE " DRIVER_IRQ_NOT_E....." And then I would have to reset the system and start all over. And it happens again and again. Until after like 6 tries then it would install. So I installed everything (no problem installing anything). I loaded counterstrike and updated the servers and a window pops up and says "offset 019051b....and two buttons to click, "SEND or DON"T SEND." After clicking the "DON"T SEND" it would kick me into the desktop and would occationally freeze/ reset by itseft like descrbibed above. Playing FAR CRY is fine, it would lock-up sometime. And the computer seems to be normal except for all the problem described above.

And as if the all those problem weren't enough, I think that my HD is failing also. Today, I hear a click and spin-up noise from it and the whole system would freeze. So I switch in a new HD(brand new) from western digital. While installing the OS, it would give me the same blue screen...blah..blah. After 5 or 6 times then it would go through and when the computer restart itself and before the graphical installion process, it would say "error loading operation system." Ahhhhh. So I switch back the Maxtor and did a clean install and everything went well and got all the drivers loaded.

All the problems that I have described above still is occuring!!!
Someone please help me.
Thanks

Have you tested your RAM? I'd download Memtest86 and check to see if you have a stick of it going bad. Better to check that first, and eliminate possible problems. SOMETHING is failing (and I doubt the HD is causing BSODs, though it might be dying too). Check the RAM first; if you don't generate any errors in Memtest, then I'd start to wonder if the motherboard itself is going out.

I wonder if that Aspire PSU is another of the flims-O-matic types that's overrated and poorly regulated. I haven't heard much about them. If you have a recognized brand-name unit like an Enermax or Antec around, try that. Also consider bumping your memory voltage to 2.7 volts if you left it on Auto.

I have check on the ram and they do not have any errors when running memtest86. As for the motherboard, about 1 month ago, I had a very cheap PSU and it blew up on me, causing my motherboard to not function for about 1 week (it won't boot up). After 1 week, the motherboard works again but then some problems started to arise (like the disc lock-ups). So I am thinking that it could be the motherboard. what you guys think?
