My system is AMD Athlon XP 2700 thoroughbred b, A7N8X Deluxe Rev 1004, Corsair XMS dual 512 DDR, Gforce 4 Ti4200 128Mb, 120GB Maxtor 8Mb 7200Rpm, Lite-On Ltr 52x24x52, NEC DVD+RW 4x.
My system has been up and running well (not overclocked) for almost a year now. After reading some of the success stories on the overclocking of this combo, I decided to give it a shot. I changed the system clock to 200 and multiplier to 14 for my first test, saved the settings and exited to windows to boot.
Now my system is constantly rebooting. After it reboots numerous times, it finally gets to the post and says "system failed due to CPU overclocking" It then displays the following message:
Keyboard error or no keyboard present
Keyboard is locked out - Unlock the key
The system was not correctly shut down and now working in safe mode speed,
please press "DEL" to BIOS setup table to set correct CPU speed
Press DEL to enter Setup
05/14/2003-nVidia-nForce-A7N8XC-00
The problem is that since no keyboard is detected, or locked or something, pressing DEL does nothing!!!
How can I fix this so I can get back in the BIOS to correct the settings?
Please HELP!!!
TIA
