A7N8X deluxe and XP2400

Can I set my external freq. in the Bios to 166 or is it safe to stay at 133 ?? I know the board supports both but I'm little lost here, the 1Gb of memory is 333 (pc2700) but the XP 2400 is running at 266. Any info or links on this puzzle will be appreciated. I'm kinda new in this OC games and little lost.

bastically, if you dont want to overclock "hardcore" style, u should drop the mult and raise the cpu frqe to roughly equal normal cpu speed (cpu freq multipied by multiplier = advertised speed)

update bios to latest one first

If you're trying to overclock your CPU then try it. You could also try to keep the CPU speed the same, so you can lower the multiplier down from 15x to 12x and raise the FSB from 133 to 166. If you do that and your CPU doesn't fry, then you will have a 2GHz CPU but it will benchmark slightly greater than at 133x15.
