A7N8X Delux SoundStorm instability?

Is this a known issue? Morrowind has always felt a little slow, even though I get over 80 fps... seemed like mouse and keyboard inputs were delayed and sometimes ignored. I removed all overclocking and set everything at it's defaults, and still had the problem. So I started a process of elimination... closed Anti-Virus, ran other programs to check stability... UNDERCLOCKED the video card and CPU... then I was looking through the options in Morrowind and found hardware acceleration in the sound section, so I turned it off so that it's using software mode. No more problems, and everything smoothed out, inputs didn't feel delayed anymore. I thought the SoundStorm sound was supposed to use less CPU time than even an Audigy?!? What's the deal with this? Anyone know?

The game might need to be updated, and also go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com and get the newwest drivers for the sound.

But sounds like a game issue, i.e does not like sound card and needs to be patched if they even have one. Write the maker of the game and see if they are going to fix it?

nVidia released a couple of bad driver sets (version 2.4X I believe) for nForce2 motherboards. the 2.03 drivers work well without the static and problems I'm currently experiencing with the crap drivers.

check your drivers. the sounds issues are annoying enough that I will reformat and reinstall Windows to fix them.
