I want to get one of these boards, but am concerned about the placement of the power connector - it looks like it will interfere with the drive bays in my cases (mid-towers).

Is this likely to be a problem, or should I just upgrade the case at the same time?
 
While I don?t personally own one of these boards, I can count almost half dozen close friends who do. Between them they have cases ranging from Chemming class and Coolermaster down through the cheapest carried on Newegg and I have never heard a one of them complaining about anything with regards to the board layout. I would be truly surprised if you had any problems. Either buy a descent case or take really good measurements of the one you have and check them to Asus spec. You should be fine.
