Ok to Start off My System:

Windows 2000 SP4
A7N8X Bios 1010 (latest Nvidia chipset driver)
AMD XP2200
512 DDR 400 Ram
ATI Radeon 9600 driver:catalyst-8-082-041130a-019577c
Sound Blaster Audigy
60 Gig Maxtor 80 Gig Maxtor
LG DL DVD Burner
350 Watt power supply

I just picked up a A7N8X motherboard

Now my probem is that every time I try to run the Audigy web driver updates it gets to a certain point then resets, just like I had hit the reset button.

I first checked the ram with Memtest86+ from www.memtest.org, no problems showed up let it run for 6 hours.
I have tryed moving the Audigy up one slot, Ive tryed uninstalling and reinstalling the driver to no avail. This all worked great in my older motherboard with was a SIS chipset. The onboard AC97 sound is disabled.

The Audigy drivers seem to be the only thing that does this, does anyone have any idea what might be causing this problem?

Every time it reboots it also seems to leave this in the Event System Log: Save Dump: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000001e (0xc0000005, 0xeb6a4fbb, 0x00000000, 0x0063006e). Microsoft Windows 2000 [v15.2195]. A dump was saved in: C:\WINNT\Minidump\Mini012605-05.dmp.
Oddly all the error messages are identical, Anyone have any insight into what might be causing this? or any speculations?

Could the mother board be at fault? if not what might be?

Any help would be apprecatied

I doubt it's the mobo... could be an IRQ problem, could be a virus... also I have heard that disabling BIOS caching can help? that sounds funky.

lame ass response i know, but all you can do is google the hell out of your error code and look for someone that has come across it. The Microsoft knowledge base is supposed to have explanations for every one of those error codes, but often I find with unique hardware setups, BSODs can spit out some pretty unique ones. If only they were collectible ;) good luck

thanks for the reply meltdown75

Well I'm Running Kaspersky Antivirus, and it has not come up with any virus warnings.

This is a Fresh install on this motherboard the A7N8X, the kicker is that everything worked fine in the old motherboard a Epoc SiS 266 motherboard.

I believe Bios Caching is shut off, well I'm pondering the idea of returing this A7N8X and upgrading to the A7N8X-E Deluxe or somthing like that, I suspect the motherboard because its the only thing I upgraded.
