Henry,
Any chance of you guys getting a hold of
This mobo or one with the via DDR chipset?
"The Socket 370 6VJD2 motherboard supports both DDR 266 and legacy SDRAM (PC100, PC133) memory modules. This board features two DDR 266 and two SDRAM compatible memory slots"
All of the benchmarks for the 760 chipset boards are compared to PC133 on a Kt133 board which runs at 100mhz fsb.
If this DDR mobo has a 133mhz fsb then I would expect, with a compatible CPU, that PC133 could run synchronously on it; and get better performance compared to a kt133 board with pc133 runnning asynchronously because it has a 100mhz fsb?
Does the DDR mobo step down to a 100mhz fsb when using PC133?
If PC133 can run at a 133fsb on this type of mobo then I'd like to see THAT benched up against PC2100 just out of curiosity. Is bandwidth the key or simply a higher fsb or both?
