OK, so here's what i have discovered


does not beep or post at all with everything plugged in.

does not beep or post with just ram, hd, video plugged in.

does not beep or post with just ram, video plugged in.

does not beep or post with just ram plugged in.

continuously beeps when only cpu is plugged in, no ram or video.


do i have bad ram?

plz help.

well it booted 1 time, and then it never booted again after that...odd...doesnt give me any beep warnings for anything, so im stumped right now.


any suggestions please post
 
I found the A7M266 BIOS quite sensitive. Quite often the thing didn't boot, when any of the settings were even slightly out of the regular range. I always could revive the board, by setting everything BY JUMPER to default. Set the board to "jumper" operation, and then set FSB to 100. Taht always revived the thing. BTW: it's a very good board. 🙂
 
Did you by chance set the board to use ECC? That basically kills the computer until you zap the CMOS.
