I am in the process of reviewing components for a new computer and I have narrowed down the motherboard list to either an ASUS A7M266 or an A7A266 with a 1.4GHZ AMD processor and 512k DDR ram. Anybody have any ideas as any MAJOR differences or setup/operational problems between these two boards with these components??? Are there any other motherboards better suited for this type of component setup?? Thanks for your advice!! :)

not really, but if you want to get one of these 2, then I'd get A7M266 it's performance beats the pants of A7A's. But, there are better boards out there than A7M for a cheaper price, don't get me wrong A7M266 is a great board, but MSI's K7 Master is a better choice for it's price, and K7 master has multiplier adjustments, A7M doesn't. Another good choice for ocer's is Epox's 8k7a+, it's got loads of tweaking and ocing settings (Including a 1/5 pci bus divider) and has RAID, and is not as stable as K7 Master or A7M but still is stable enough.

I would defenetly NOT go for the A7V266 .. if you have to choose between the A7M and the A7V then go for the A7M it is more stable, has better speeds etc ... it is just a better solution ...
