A7M266 Problems with cold-boots

I've got an:

ASUS A7M266 bios v.104a
1 stick 256 MB DDR memory (Nanya or Kingston, not sure which)
1.33 GHZ AMD T-Bird
300 watt power supply (came with ANTEC case)
30 GB ATA 100 Western Dig hard Drive

The problem is when you leave the computer turned off over night. When you try to start it up the next morning, everything begins to spin up,
lights start blinking, and then everything just stops and it sits there. If you turn it off, then on again, and repeat this 3-5 times it eventually
starts up. Once it starts up, it runs like a rock, never had any trouble.

All voltage settings are at the default/reccomended settings from the manual.

Also, while rebooting, it sometimes resets the bus speed to 100 MHZ (from 133). the board is set to Jumperless mode.

Does anybody have an idea what this might be?

If it is of any help the machine also has:

ATI Radeon 64MB DDR
Linksys Network Card
Windows 98 SE
TEAC 16x10x40 CDRW
