I noticed that the northbridge fan has a 3rd wire for sensing (RPM's). However the port in which the fan is plugged into (NB), is NON-SENSING. Even though the port has 3 lines?!?!

What i did is just make up an extension cable and plug the northbridge fan into the Chassis Fan port (CHA) all the way at the bottom of the board.

Ive had mine plugged in this way for a few weeks now, and everything is working great, i can even regulate the speed of the Northbridge fan now!! :)

It boggles my mind that Asus would spend the money for a sensing fan and not use its cabablities. What a waste. i hope this info is usefull to someone.

I've noticed the three plug support on the Northbridge fan too. I suppose it is due to the proprietary Asus monitoring hardware only supporting three connections. The other headers probably have a higher priority for monitoring.
