I just tried to update the bios on a Foxconn A7GM-S, now the computer won't boot or post. Clearing the CMOs does nothing. Is there anyway to force the computer to accept a new firmware?

All I can recommend is trying to reflash the BIOS again. Otherwise, replacing the EEPROM from Foxconn is the only other possibility. "I'm not a magic worker, it's dead Jim!"

Looks like I can buy a new SPI chip, it's socketed on the motherboard. No idea if that would work though.

What bios version did you try to flash? I had a lot of issues with 799F1P15. Windows would BSOD on boot, I couldnt boot into recovery, and I couldnt save any setting in the bios.

After I reverted the bios back to 799F1P13 everything was fine.

I tried whatever the latest bios on the website was. Already ordered a replacement from BiosDepot though.

I had problems with P11. SATA HD would say "SMART error" on boot, and then it wouldn't find the HD.
