A7A266 vs A7A266 AliMagik 1 Series....

What's the difference between them? is there a difference? I'm talking about the one without audio.....as I have a SB Live Value card and don't need to pay for audio...

There's only 1 version of A7A266, that has sound, uses MAGiK, and has 2 DDR and 3 SDR slots. I'd stay away from it, it performs poorly compared to AMD 760 and SiS 735. If u must have SDR and DDR slots, ECS K7S5A (SiS 735) is the board for u with 2 DDR and 2 SDR slots

What MB would you suggest then? I have a 1GHz AXIA T-bird....
256MB PC 133 ram (not interested in buying new ram right now)....

I don't need anything on board so no sound.....vid...modem.....nic....etc....
and I need 4 usb ports off the MB.....like the A7Pro..

The new revision of the Ali chipset is actually performing better than the AMD760 and SIS735 chipsets. Unfortunately it's not on any boards yet.

Yeah B0 stepping of MAGiK is out performing everything except in some cases 735, we just need boards. For SDR, ECS K7S5A, as I said it supports PC133 and PC2100 DDR so u can put in your current PC133 and then later upgrade to PC2100
