Just wondering if anyone has tried running a barton chip on the a7a266 mb it is a 266 fsb board but i can change it to 333. i think it should run np just maybe other hardware probs from ocing the fsb...
IIRC, that board was one of the first publicly available Socket A boards to support DDR memory (about 3 years ago). If it even POSTs with a Barton, I would still have to question it's usability.
EDIT: I just looked up CPU support for that board and it supports both TBred-B and Thorton CPUs (that's good support for a 3 YO board!). So the Barton could be a possibility. Unless you already know that you can do 333FSB reliably, then try to buy an unlocked Barton so you still get what you pay for.
