A64 System Power Consumption?

Does anyone have any links to sites that look at the full system power consumption of Athlon64 systems with the Venice core? Toms Hardware did a writeup of a Pentium M-based desktop and compared it to older and faster A64 cores and I want to do an actual fair comparison against maybe a 3000 venice chip.

Can't get this Link to work(website seems down), but in one of the cpu reviews they have a chart of CPU power useage. Of all current desktop cpus Venice has the lowest power consumption by far.

True, but in truth, Pentium M running on the desktop trumps even the Venice cores in power consumption (by a fair amount).

It'll be interesting to see with dual and now quad cores how they keep the power consumption in check.

The second core on both Pentium and Athlon64 doesn't seem to add much to the power consumption, judging by AnandTech's test results. I think XBit did some similar ones too.

Great graph of dualcore and single cores processors running Prime 95

Venice as you can see if very low. This graph is for cpu only. Not system draw. Pretty frightening on the Intel side. I wonder if there is throttling going on to keep the temps down when four instances of Prime95 are run.

Edit: THere are other power graphs on that review but I now see you want system power draw so the above graph really isn't accurate. Sorry

Argh, I put SYSTEM power consumption in bold because I know all about CPU power consumption already!

I know the A64 can't touch the Pentium M but I am still curious to know.

Thanks, but I doubt that is the venice core since it was back in Feb.

Probably true. However, since all things else would be equal, it would merely be subtracting the difference between the actual Core used and it's Venice counterpart to arrive at the Venice system useage.
